CASE STUDY: Cosmetic Kingdom
Behind all the glitz and the glamour, the cosmetics sector is hard as (painted) nails. In2010, Cosmetic Kingdom, who have since rebranded as Cosmetics Fairy, came to Opace looking for a cost-effective website and SEO campaign to drive important traffic and sales.
The client was apprehensive after spending “hundreds of pounds and many wasted months” with a previous supplier who had developed a Joomla VirtueMart website. Cosmetic Kingdom then approached Opace and after making a series of improvements to their existing website, we strongly advised an upgrade to Magento due to its improved eCommerce and SEO capabilities. Upon taking our advice, we were able to make a number of rapid improvements. We provided web design, training, technical support and delivered an exceptional SEO/marketing campaign which helped to generate over 1000 visits to the Cosmetics Kingdom website each day
In the words of the client, our work “led to a continuous rise in visits to the website with a direct increase in sales”. Cosmetic Kingdom reported a considerable ROI within a short period of time. Our SEO work helped their new Cosmetics Fairly website to rank on page 1 for competitive keywords like “cheap cosmetics”and “cheap makeup”. After a lot of hard work, we achieved the number 1 position for “cosmetics”.
