How we collect data: Cookies

Cookies aren’t just tasty biscuits that your grandma bakes but also little digital files that are stored on your web browser. Their purpose is to track, save and store information about you and how you use websites.

Cookies can last a single session (basically until you click the X on your browser) or a little longer. If you want to get rid of them, you can simply head into your browser settings and wipe them off. We use cookies as our primary way of collecting information about our site visitors. Like we said before, we only do this so we can create a better user experience on our website.

It’s more than likely that your web browser is already set up to accept cookies from the Opace website but if you’re not happy with that, you will need to go into your browser’s security settings and block cookie usage.

We do ask you to bear in mind that if you don’t want our cookies, we may not be able to let you access all parts of our website – sorry!

Web analytics software

Opace also uses Google Analytics (a piece of software that uses cookie tracking) to monitor visitors’ behaviour and find out how they are using our website. The cookies used by Google Analytics don’t save, store or collect any personal information, so there’s no need to panic.

Communicating with Opace

We take every possible measure to protect our web users and ensure they are provided with a secured method of communication. We do however ask that you share personal details through our website at your own discretion. Any information you send us will remain private and be stored securely until it is no longer required. Opace will only ever use the information you have communicated to us to answer your queries and provide recommendations for suitable services we offer. With your permission, we may also subscribe you to our newsletter but we will never pass your information onto third parties, without first getting your consent.
