What is CMS?

A Content Management System (CMS) is a software application that helps people organise, add to, and share information.

• ECMS – Enterprise Content Management System is a framework for gathering, organising, and delivering information about the company’s activities.
• DMS – Document Management System can be thought of part of ECMS.  A DCM is software specifically used to track and stored documents and images.
• WCM - Web Content Management System (often abbreviated to CMS) is what most businesses use. CMS systems are designed to make creating, uploading, and managing website content as simple as possible.  It is possible to use a good Web CMS without any coding knowledge through a user friendly interface. Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla are all popular open source Web CMS packages.
